On March 18, 1979, the Hyattsville/Landover (MD) Alumni Chapter became the 40th alumni chapter to be chartered in the Eastern Province by Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Since that time the chapter has served the citizens of Prince George's County, MD and has been a visible force in the community providing programs that serve the youth as well as the entire community at large.
Founded in October 2003, the Bowie/Mitchellville (MD) Alumni Chapter has been a positive influence on the citizens of the Bowie/Mitchellville community. Drawing inspiration from its 10 Founders, the chapter continues to focus on being positive role models for young African-Americans as well as proving them with the tools they need to succeed in today's complex society.
On February 9, 2007, the Fort Washington (MD) Alumni Chapter became the 36th alumni chapter to be chartered in the Eastern Province by Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. On April 29, 2007, 17 members accepted the charter from the 30th Grand Polemarch. Since the chapter's inception, the chapter has labored to promote the well being of the Prince George's County, MD community, as well as the fundamental purpose of the Fraternity - Achievement.
